Welcome to TFB’s Photo Of The Day! Today’s selection features a lot of snow and cold, and a furry beast. In terms of firearms, we have the Heckler & Koch HK416N, the SA80 in full winter camouflage and most likely an M4 carbine.

Training to defend Norway

20,000 NATO troops, plus and Sweden, have been taking part in the largest military exercises in Europe’s Arctic this year

During exercises Joint Viking and Warrior, land, sea and air forces from the ten nation Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) have been training to defend Norway. JEF is a group of like-minded Northern European nations focused on mutual support and cooperation

Around 50 aircraft and 40 vessels were involved, with troops from hosts Norway joined by those from Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the USA.
