[SHOT 2024] Daniel Defense Introduce Their First Ever Pistol and Pistol Caliber Carbine

Daniel Defense has expanded its product lineup by introducing its first-ever pistol, the H9, and a new 9x19mm Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC), known as the DD PCC, at SHOT 2024.

The new H9 pistol is the result of Daniel Defense acquiring the design from Hudson after its collapse and making improvements for its reintroduction to the market. The H9 features a low bore axis, contributing to reduced muzzle rise and enabling faster, more controlled follow-up shots. Notably, the pistol comes with a 1911-style trigger that has a straight pull and includes a trigger safety blade. The H9 also comes equipped with a reversible mag-release and a cold hammer forged barrel with a 1:10 twist. Other aspects of the pistol cater to customization and compatibility, with a 7075 aluminum grip and the ability to support the most popular red dot optics. The H9 feeds from 15-round magazines, making it competitive with other pistols in terms of capacity.

In addition to the H9 pistol, Daniel Defense also unveiled the DD PCC, which operates with a blowback action and features a unique bolt group. The inclusion of a Kynshot hydraulic buffer aims to reduce felt recoil, making it a comfortable shooting experience. This PCC is available with either a standard 16-inch barrel or as a factory Short Barrel Rifle (SBR) sporting an 8.5-inch barrel. Importantly, the DD PCC is compatible with CZ Scorpion Evo magazines and includes full ambidextrous controls, symmetrically positioned on both sides of the receiver. Complemented by the Daniel Defense MFR M-LOK handguard, the DD PCC is designed to be both versatile and user-friendly.
