Bushmaster Celebrates 50 Years with Limited-Edition XM15A2

In 1973 Bushmaster was born, and 50 years later, the company is celebrating with the limited-edition XM15A2. The rifle is a recreation of the iconic original with A2 carry handle, A2 furniture, and 20-inch chrome lined barrel and bolt. Available in a limited run of only 50, each rifle comes with a certificate of authenticity and matching challenge coin.

The Bushmaster Limited Edition XM15A2

Featuring 7075 Aluminum Alloy upper and lower receivers, the XM15A2 sports the iconic look of the original. In keeping with the classic theme, the rifle features A2 furniture—stock, grip, and handguard heat shields. Likewise, the muzzle is fitted with an A2 flash hider installed on the 1/2×28 thread pitch for suppressor installation.

A nod to simpler times, the A2 upper features the classic carry handle with NON F-Marked A2 front sight and 8/3 fixed carry handle rear sight. Chambered in 5.56 NATO/.223 Rem, the XM15A2 includes a 20-inch phosphate-finished, chrome-lined barrel with 1:7 twist and rifle-length gas system. Likewise, the chrome-lined bolt carrier group (BCG) also features a phosphate finish.

Available in a limited run of only 50 to ever be made, the magwell displays the 50^th Anniversary Gold emblem. Likewise, each rifle comes with a certificate of authenticity, including the rifle’s serial number. In addition, a serialized challenge coin also accompanies the rifle. Each coin features a unique serial number that matches the serial number of the rifle and is sealed in an archival coin case.

The rifle is available with a standard magazine or a California-compliant 10-round magazine. However, the California-compliant rifle incurs an additional cost of $13 and will not be available until December 1, 2023.
