First Look: Burris Signature LRF 2000 Rangefinder

Greeley, CO, based Burris Optics is introducing its first rangefinder, the Signature LRF 2000. This new unit is designed both for archery and firearms shooting applications and has a maximum rangefinding distance of 2,400 yards. 

The Signature LRF 2000 is a Class 1 laser product and has a ruggedized armored rubber exterior that protects the sophisticated firmware and rangefinding electronics inside. This unit is accurate within 1 yard to distances of 1,000 yards or less. For distances over 2,000 yards, it is accurate within 2 yards. Three different ranging modes are onboard the LRF 2000, an automatic mode which displays the range of the target with the strongest return signal, a hunting mode which displays the farthest range within a group of targets, and lastly, a sport mode which ranges the closest target within a group of targets. Also onboard is software that aids in calculating angles and ballistic trajectories, something that may be useful for highland or mountain hunters who are often presented with complex shooting scenarios across challenging terrain. Like modern riflescopes, the interior of the Signature LRF 2000 is sealed and filled with nitrogen to make the unit fogproof.
