European American Armory (EAA) recently started importing the new Girsan Witness 2311 double stack 1911 style pistol. The EAA Girsan Witness 2311 pistol made its first public debut at the recently held NASGW Exposition & Annual Events Outdoor trade show in Columbus, OH, in October. This Turkish made pistol will ship in seven different configurations and is intended to provide the American consumer more options for an affordable and competitive single action pistol that uses double stack magazines. Other features include a skeletonized trigger, a flared magazine well and an accessory rail on the frame in front of the trigger.
Out of the seven different options available, four of them will retail for $999 and three of them will retail for $1029. The first 3,000 EAA Girsan Witness 2311 pistols will also ship with complimentary EAA Far Dot micro-red-dot sights. The EAA Far Dot optic has a Shield RMS/RMSc based footprint, which fits neatly into the Witness 2311 factory optics cut. This cut is slimmer than other popular footprints and makes sense on the narrower slide of any 1911 pattern pistol, with either a single or double stack magazine.
Keith Bernkrant, President of EAA, stated: “We do not rush our products to market like some of our competition. I am proud to say the Witness 2311 is one of the finest products we have ever distributed. Many have said we must be “out of our minds!” at the retail price of $999 including optics for the first 3,000 optic ready units.”
The seven different double stack pistols include models with varying barrel lengths of 4.25, 5 and 6 inches and come in 9mm, .45 ACP and 10mm.
