Trijicon is introducing a new first-focal-plane 5-25x50mm riflescope into the Tenmile HX product line. This new high performance and high-powered riflescope is meant for serious, long-distance hunters or those who wish to have the aid of higher magnification while they shoot. The central feature of this new Trijicon Tenmile HX riflescope is its purpose-built MOA based illuminated reticle. As a first-focal-plane optic, the reticle shrinks or enlarges in accordance to the specific magnification level it is set at, and all markings and subtensions remain true and correct. This is different from the less expensive second-focal-plane riflescopes, which have reticles that appear to be the same size throughout but whose calibrations typically only work accurately when zoomed into the highest magnification setting. The built-in illumination of the Tenmile HX’s reticle can be set to either red or green light and has a built in elevation range of 80 MOA. The scope’s turrets, which are calibrated for ¼-MOA-per-click, are capable of up to 50 MOA of internal adjustment for elevation and 40 MOA for windage. The turrets also have a zero locking mechanism to ensure that the precise zero for the rifle does not get lost after dialing.
This new 5-25x50mm Tenmile HX, along with every other member of the Tenmile HX lineup uses multi-coated extremely low dispersion (ED) glass to deliver hunters that critical edge to edge clarity, especially in situations with more challenging light conditions. The illumination has a battery life of 68 hours and power comes via a single CR 2032 battery.
