iRayUSA is the United States distributor of InfiRay Outdoor thermal optics and is rolling out the second generation of the RICO Micro multi-function thermal optic, available in 640 or 384 resolution models.
The RICO (Rugged Infrared Compact Optic) Micro V2 updates the InfiRay’s most-popular family of thermal optics to provide users with more features while retaining the versatility of the RICO to use as a handheld scanner, helmet-mounted monocular, sight or thermal clip-on. New models feature a machined magnesium alloy housing to reduce weight, and an added USB-C port now allows for simplified file transfer and the ability to power the MICRO from an external battery pack. The internal video recorder now includes audio recording and 64 GB of internal storage. An improved 1440×1080 AMOLED display and is paired with a new eyepiece that offers more comfortable viewing and clip-on compatibility for optics up to up to 6X magnification. The Micro V2 also uses InfiRay’s latest 12 µm sensor, an improved NETD rating of ≤18mK and a manual-focus f/1.0 objective lens to create a superior experience for the user.
