We Knife Winsome Doesn’t Seem Likely to Lose Some

Something wicked this way comes, via We Knife Co.’s design team. Late March will see the release of the Winsome which, despite its innocuous name, is a big and bold folder with a coolly sinister look and styling.

There are some blade lengths that you see over and over again – maybe because they are the clear demarcations between one size class and another. One such is the 3.75-inch mark, which is right where the Winsome’s narrow drop point spans out to. It’s made from M390, which is business as usual, and opens with a thumb stud; in the closed position, a portion of the tang is exposed, which gives the Winsome a hooded, mysterious look, and also functions as a front flipper.

The Damasteel option for the Winsome is pretty wild looking

The Winsome’s drop dead simple handle is also drop dead gorgeous. Both the front and back scales are dominated by a large inlay that mimics the curving shape of the handle. The inlay options include a tantalizing suite of materials, including a Lava Flow pattern from Fat Carbon and a new-to-us G-10 and rose-patterned carbon fiber scale that looks somehow both trippy and subdued at the same time. Very cool. The Winsome weighs 4.73 oz. and comes with a right side carry sculpted titanium pocket clip.

Speaking of trippy, if you want to maximize the psychedelic vibes you can opt for the Damasteel model, which not only has timascus inlays that look like some kind of toxic good or oil slick, but Fafnir-pattern Damasteel blade, which is all narrow whorls – the overall effect is something completely different than any other variation of the Winsome, as well as most other special material We Knife Co. configurations.

The Winsome is set to arrive by the end of the month.
