First Look: ADM Carbon Hunter Rifle

American Defense Manufacturing (ADM) just launched a new lightweight AR-308-pattern rifle chambered in either .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor called the UIC 10A Carbon Hunter. The UIC 10A Carbon Hunter has an overall weight of around 8 pounds unloaded, and to keep weight low, these rifles are outfitted with precision carbon-fiber wrapped barrels from BSF with lengths of either 16 or 18 inches. American Defense Manufacturing also builds the UIC 10A Carbon Hunter rifles with its patented ambidextrous-lower-receiver design. The end result is a lightweight semi-auto hunting rifle that’s suitable for both left- and right-handed shooters and hunters. Because these rifles chamber .308 Win. or 6.5 Creedmoor, which are longer than .223 Rem. found in an AR-15, American Defense Manufacturing’s ambidextrous lowers fit the AR-10 pattern SR-25 lower and upper receiver, and both the lower and upper receivers for the Carbon Hunter are machined from solid billets.
