First Look: ETS Omega GLK-18 Glock Magazine
Elite Tactical Systems has just launched a new double-stack 9mm Glock pattern aftermarket magazine, the new ETS Omega GLK-18. Like all other ETS Omega magazines, the company has engineered this extended-capacity magazine to combine the durability of steel with the positive attributes of ETS polymer, such as lighter weight and more resistance to impacts. In addition to this, ETS Omega GLK-18 magazine bodies are translucent so shooters can easily check the condition of their magazine with a quick glance. The Omega Magazine features hardened steel feed lips, a patent-pending Omega Joint and a military-grade Teflon coating for corrosion resistance. Weighing 50-percent less than all-steel magazines, it offers 30-round capacity, 100-percent drop-free reliability and compatibility with Gen1 through 5 Glock pistols. The ergonomic design ensures easy handling, and it is fully compatible with Glock extensions.
Once of the niches where an extended capacity magazine like the new ETS Omega GLK-18 shines would be for pistol caliber carbine (PCC) competitive events. Currently both USPSA and IDPA offer a PCC division for shooters that are interested in competing and /or navigating these sports with a shoulder-fired 9mm carbine. A wide selection of PCC manufacturers have settled on designing their carbines with 9mm double-stack Glock pattern mags such as the ETS Omega GLK-18.
