First Look: Henry Golden Boy Rimfire Revolvers
Henry Repeating Arms has just unveiled a new rimfire revolver chambered for .22 LR/.22 Short/.22 Long rimfire cartridges. Dubbed as the new Golden Boy Revolver, this handgun follows in the footsteps of the namesake of Henry Repeating Arms’ flagship rimfire Golden Boy lever-action rifle. The new Golden Boy Revolver is styled with classic touches including blued steel, walnut stocks and brass accents, much like its larger sibling, the Big Boy revolver, which was launched last year and is chambered in .357 Mag./.38 Spl.
The Golden Boy’s cylinder has 10 charge holes and is built on a medium-size steel frame. Customers can buy these revolvers with either a classic grip or an “old West” styled bird’s head grip, both fashioned from walnut. Besides the medium frame, both revolvers are also outfitted with 4-inch barrels and iron sights. The front sights are fixed while the rear sight is part of the topstrap if the revolver’s frame. Henry includes three front-sight blades of differing height in order to change the revolver’s point of impact to match the velocity of the cartridge in use.
“It is high time our flagship rifle had a bona fide revolver companion, and I’m proud to stamp the Henry name on what the team put together,” says Anthony Imperato, Founder and CEO of Henry Repeating Arms. “Providing our customers with the most smiles per dollar is paramount to everything we do, and this new product delivers in spades, whether on the range or in the field.”
