First Look: Rost Martin RM1S
Looking for a reasonably priced, feature-packed, striker-fired compact pistol? The Rost Martin RM1S, the latest addition to the popular Rost Martin RMI series, is an excellent choice for your next firearm purchase. This black-polymer-frame pistol offers a nitrocarbonized steel slide and combines a range of standout features that not only enhance performance but also make it a pleasure to own, all without breaking the bank.
Attractive and lean, the RM1S grip is 1.1 inches wide and has more texture and surface area for a more secure hand grip that helps improve accuracy and aids in control. A moderate beavertail allows for a higher grip and has a funneled magazine well for speedier reloads. The RM1S is chambered in 9mm and offers a 3.6-inch, hammer-forged barrel. The flat-faced trigger brings a short, consistent, break and the trigger pull weighs in at just under 5 pounds. A Tenifer-treated slide provides corrosion protection and dramatically improves durability and weather protection.
The RM1S is fully ambidextrous and features significant front and rear serrations for an easy grip when racking the slide. The non-glare top slide serrations reduce light reflection and minimize light distractions for the shooter. The RM1S is outfitted from the factory with white dot sights but is built to accept a variety of micro-electro-optics, and the metal plates for the most popular red dot sights will be available on the Rost Martin website. The RM1S is outfitted with a two-slot Picatinny rail for pistol lights and accessories.
Each RM1S is packaged with both a 12-round flush-fit magazine and a 15-round extended magazine to give flexibility in round capacity.
