Tanfoglio is best known for Italian-made CZ-75 pattern and 1911-style pistols which are imported by the Italian Firearms Group. The new Tanfoglio Hexagon Tactical Pistol, a tactical and performance-oriented CZ-75-derived design that features a hexagonally shaped integral compensator placed just ahead of the front sight and behind the muzzle. This new offering from Tanfoglio will ship in either 9mm or 10mm chamberings.
The new Tanfoglio Hexagon Tactical Pistol is a traditional double-action handgun based on Tanfoglio’s “K” frame, which is full-size frame made from steel. These pistols feature a distinctive FDE Cerakote finish on both the slides and frames. In addition, they ship with thin aluminum grip panels. Like all of Tanfoglio’s modern pistols, the Hexagon Tactical Pistol’s barrel is precision CNC-machined from a Walther-Lothar barrel blank. The bull barrel blank for the Hexagon is thicker in order to promote both accuracy and extra weight to aid in recoil dampening. The single port hexagonally shaped compensator also helps perform that task. This new pistol is also optics-ready and features an entirely removable rear sight base, which also has a competition style adjustable micrometer rear sight.
The Tanfoglio Hexagon Tactical Pistol also has additional details such as Picatinny railed front dust cover, an extended beavertail safety and a firing pin safety.
