First Look: True Knives Berm Cleaver Flipper Knife
The True Knives Berm Cleaver Flipper is a new utilitarian folding knife that has now joined the True Knives Berm product family. The Cleaver Flipper is a medium-size folding knife and, unlike most affordable EDC utilitarian pocketknives, comes equipped with a 2.5-inch blunt cleaver point blade designed to be handy for both work and home use. In addition to its practical aspects, from a design standpoint, the Berm stands out with its jade-colored grip case and black-oxide-finished blade. Because it’s a folding knife, it uses bearings in its pivoting mechanism and in lieu of thumb studs, there is a large doral cut out meant for thumbs to push against which also adds to its unique look. A liner lock keeps the blade supported while its opened.
The True Knives Berm Cleaver Flipper’s blade is manufactured from a 7Cr17Mov steel that’s easy to sharpen and can hold an edge for daily slicing or chopping tasks, while still remaining affordable. The keen edge of the blade is hollow ground and smooth. The Berm Cleaver Flipper’s short and handy blade tucks into a textured G10 case/grip and measures only 3.42 inches when fully closed. This handle also has four different clip-attachment points that are user configurable for both left and right-handed users to offer maximum convenience and deep carry in pockets.
