May Buck of the Month Makes the Slim Pro even Pro-ier

The May 2025 Buck of the Month is here. This one will please fans of the company’s more modern offerings, as it is a souped-up 112 Slim Pro TRX with a wild blade coating, upgraded steel – the works.

You never know when Buck will release its monthly special edition. Some months, it doesn’t drop until the last week, and sometimes, as with May’s release, it’s available to kick off the month. Perhaps it depends on the model being made, or what Buck anticipates the demand will be like for the specific piece – or maybe even how many they’ve decided to make, because the number of pieces can vary as well.

There are PVD gold accents throughout

Regardless, the May Buck of the Month is here, and it’s a 112 Slim Pro TRX with a bunch of upgrades. The most significant – and the standout visually – is the blade. It is made from MagnaCut steel, which is good news, but it’s also covered in a new “Crushed Orchid” Cerakote. As the name indicates, this coating has a soft, floral purple hue, and it really differentiates this 112 Slim Pro TRX on a visual level in addition to its heightened performance characteristics.

Also Cerakote’d is the handle, which is aluminum instead of the usual G-10, and in a contrasting color called “Crushed Silver.” It’s a great name for a great look, and the color scheme is set off even further with some gold PVD-coated elements: the thumb studs and backspacer. All in all, it’s an attractive and standout modern folder that it will be tempting to keep on the shelf even though it is more than ready for work.

The May Buck of the Month is available right now, and limited to 750 pieces.
