New Electoral Reform Would Allow 16-Year-Olds To Vote In UK

The United Kingdom is set to allow 16-year-olds to vote, according to a new Elections Bill unveiled on Thursday. This policy change would greatly benefit the Labour Party by granting more than 1.5 million teenagers the right to choose their master.
Stop Drinking the Political Kool-Aid, America: Voting Will Not Save Us
“By engaging voters early, when they are young, and allowing them to have a say in shaping their future, we will build the foundations for their lifelong participation in our electoral processes,” the official strategy stated, claiming the changes will “restore trust” in the system.
In a document called the Election Manifesto, it argued that if 16-year-olds can work and pay taxes, it is “right and fair that they should be able to vote.”
The policy has stirred controversy, with opposition MPs also questioning the policy’s consistency. “Why does this government think a 16-year-old can vote but not be allowed to buy a lottery ticket, an alcoholic drink, marry, go to war, or even stand in the elections they’re voting in?” Conservative Shadow Minister Paul Holmes said.
But the Labour Party, unironically, already explained that it’s due to the fact that these kids are paying taxes into the totalitarian system that all ruling classes want to build. If a third world war kicks off, the same ruling class will be able to unilaterally declare that they own whoever they want and send them off to war as cannon fodder.
Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner rejected suggestions of political advantage, saying the reform is not about “trying to rig votes for a particular party,” but about giving young people a voice in democracy, according to a report by RT.
Voting is giving your consent to the ruling class by participating in the system and offering a “vote” for which master you like more. Since voting never solved anything in the United States, it will not solve anything in the UK. Voting for a new master in a term of years hardly makes you free.
Besides, it’s never about how many votes, it’s who counts the votes that matters. The rulers only care that you consent to be governed and consent to their outcome, whatever they choose it to be.
