Ostap Hel Navo Jumps from We Line to Civivi

New month, new batch of knives inbound from the ever-busy Civivi – not least of which is the Navo, an EDC design from veteran collaborator Ostap Hel that some readers will probably recognize from a release under Civivi’s sister label, We Knife Co.
Yes, the Navo is in the select group of We Knife Co. models that have been shifted from that premium label to the middle-tier category that Civivi represents. The original flavor debuted at SHOT Show 2023 and was clad in the usual suite of We Knife Co. blade and handle materials – although one variant, featured in our article from SHOT ’23, showcased a configuration that looks almost exactly like this Civivi version at a glance.

Hel did not mess with what worked about the prior Navo with these Civivi reworking. The same clean drop point, running to a comfortable and capable 3.25 inches, offers an expanded suite of cutting abilities, from delicate thread-snipping to heavier – or even outdoors! – tasks. Nitro-V steel, used here, is not a super steel but without a doubt is a rock-solid performer in the mid-tier stainless category.
The handle design on the Navo favors straight lines and an unfussy, linear profile. A squared-off cutout in the show-side scale provides a nice indexing location for the ring finger, as well as easy access to the liner lock underneath. Weighing 2.89 oz., the Navo is a lean and mean pocket pal, and it has the now nearly-universal Civivi reversible deep carry pocket clip, making it much more lefty-friendly (albeit still a liner lock). The Navo will be available soon.
