WE Knife Co. Closes the Deal on the Kyklos

Here at KnifeNews, we like to jump between the WE Knife Co. labels in covering the prolific brand family’s sizable output. The last piece we talked about was the Triptych, a Civivi release – and now we’re moving back to the WE side of things to look at the Kyklos.
The in-house designers at WE have produced knives in just about every size class and use category available, but across it all there is a particular underlying, unifying style that marks each one as a WE piece. It’s a fusion of high-end machining details like two-tone blades, brushed finishes and the like, and a linework sensibility that is both clean and very bold.

In that sense the Kyklos is vintage WE, with its 3.79-inch harpoon clip blade that rides into the open position on a ball-bearing pivot. It’s a flipper-only design, a common WE choice – and the steel is another WE staple, M390. Taken all in all, it seems fair to describe the Kyklos as a large EDC or hard use piece, something flexible and reliable for anybody comfortable with the size.
And if the size doesn’t concern you, the weight won’t either, because the Kyklos tips the scales at 4.25 oz. – a respectable and reasonable weight for something in this size class. The scales are, naturally, full titanium front and back, as is the sculpted clip. In terms of fancypants options, there is a Fafnir Damasteel option, which has plain Jane titanium scales and a flamed Timascus pivot.
The Kyklos is shipping next month.Knife in Featured Image: We Knife Co. Kyklos
